Traditional dress for women in Vietnam – Ao Dai

Ao Dai literally means a long piece of upper body clothing. It’s the national costume for women in Vietnam. The dress has had a political controversy with the erstwhile Communists in North Vietnam condemning the tight fitting westernized version and preferring the loose fitting one. The inconvenience of working while wearing this dress is also supposed to signify feminine behaviors of modesty, caution, and gentleness

Cycle ride is a must do especially around the sword lake and the bylanes around the city
