Argentina : Ushuaia And Tierra Del Fuego Archipelago

- By RAHUL MONDAL    .   September 7, 2018   .

We arrived at Ushuaia Airport from Buenos Aires Aeroparque Jorge Newberry international Airport in the afternoon at approximately 1 pm.  The breathtaking view,  from the aircraft, of the city of Ushuaia, settled on the lap of snow-capped mountains and the Beagle Channel was awe-inspiring. It was like I found my paradise on earth.

After a seamlessly smooth Airport to hotel transfer ( hotel canal Beagle) by on - the - spot cab hire, within the next 1.5 hours, we were on our way to cruising Along the Beagle Channel.

The cruise was by Canoero catamarans ( Massimo - our cruise) which was suggested to us by hotel staff. It was an experience of a lifetime cruising along the southernmost part of the Andes Mountains. We stopped by small pieces of land to enjoy watching the sea lions, Seals and condors/ cormorant birds. We even stopped by an island where the tribal Yamanas lived. It was the best cruise I ever had.

The Next day again as suggested by the hotel we went on our tour with YEHUIN Tourismo. The " END OF THE WORLD " train tour - as no other train runs further south than this one.,  Tierra Del Fuego National Park excursions covering Lapataia,  Laguna Negra and Verde,  Lake Roca has been a priceless experience. This day the tour started with the pick up at our hotel at 9 am and a drop back at the hotel at 2:30 pm.

The Third day came up with amazingly pleasant surprises with the same tour operator. It was exploring the North of the region. The travel to Las Cotorras where we were thrilled to walk in snow rackets and where we had life's best event of experiencing the Dog Sleigh is unforgettable.

Lake Escondido - the hidden Lake surrounded by the Southern Most part of the parent Andes range and the Garibaldi pass with heavy Snowfall was fascinating. The cherry on the top was visiting "CERRO CASTOR" where Olympians and world champions in the sport of skiing come for their practice during The Argentine winters.

In summary, this was " The Most Memorable Travel Experience of My Life ".
